My doctor told me of a good spot to fish in Lemon Bay for Seatrout, he said he always catches trout in this spot. I usually fish Gasparilla Sound,but this day I decided to try Lemon Bay in Placida.
I managed to catch a few Trout and one Flounder. The wind was blowing me one way and the tide was moving the opposite way, so it was hard using artificial bait because my mirrorlure was moving with the tide faster than I could work it properly. I forgot my anchor, otherwise I could have anchored where I was having some luck and I’m sure I would have caught more fish.
Without the anchor I had to keep paddling back to where I was getting bites. I will be sure to bring my anchor next time. I usually keep one in my milk crate but I changed out crates for this trip.
